「寒山詩」是唐代僧人、詩人號寒山子所作的詩。世傳貞觀年間台州刺史閭丘胤所作《寒山子詩集序》。寒山詩被稱為通俗詩、白話詩，但由於寒山詩表達上的特殊性，並非淺顯易懂，或看似明白如話，實際上另有奧旨。寒山詩是中國古代詩國中的一枝奇葩。寒山詩長期流傳於禪宗叢林，宋以後受到詩人文士的喜愛和摹擬，號稱「寒山體」。近代以來風靡歐美和日本，形成世界範圍內的「寒山詩熱」。
